Edoardo Sacchetto grew up around his father and grandfather making olive oil and wine. During his travels as a young adult, he fell in love with the world of wine only to return home and started studying by working with a natural winemaking local legend. In 2016, he decided to plant a small vineyard with his father of Moscato Bianco and Merlot and founded "Ananda."

After 3 years of working at French winemakers Domaine des Miquettes in Rhône and Domaine Rietsch in Alsace to gain experience in making quality natural wine, he started working part time at UVA Restaurant in Padova city to be closer to his vineyards and truly launch his creative winemaking journey. In the year leading up to his first official Ananda vintage in 2020, he spent the year convincing a series of his local elders to allow him to work their abandoned vineyards so he could pursue his parcel project.

He has since developed several field-blends from specific tiny old vine parcels with similar soil types all from different villages in the Colli Euganei; different altitudes, vine training, grape varieties and vine ages. Red grapes and white grapes from any given vineyard are blended and co-fermented together in steel tanks.

Edo's blends are stylistically strong and expressive while maintaining a distinct drinkability and freshness. There are no oenological additions at any time including sulphur, no filtration or temperature control and Edo stands firmly by this natural winemaking doctrine. His wines so far have typically shifted as the weather and humidity shifts in or out of his favor, but has recently dialed into a few consistent and essential cuvées that he plans to recreate each year as long as the fruit grows as expected.
