Az. Agr. Gallino Giuseppe
Canale - Roero, Piemonte (CN), Italy
In the heart of the Piedmontese Roero, in the town of Canale, 25 year old Alessandro Gallino decided to take over his grandfather Giuseppe's farm after finishing his degree in "Viticulture and Oenology" at the University of Turin (thesis on the reduction of the use of SO2 in oenology.)
In their three hectares of land, they focus solely on production of classic regional varieties Arneis, Barbera and Nebbiolo. His focus on making his wines with minimal intervention backed by his oenological knowledge has led to excellent results in our experience, especially considering we are working with his second vintage. Their sincerity and complexity have made them one of the most sought-after wines in our portfolio.
